Slipstream #3

I’ve arrived at the smallest doll in this collection that I can reasonably paint. I don’t do small these days because I can’t really see it and this is the largest of the remaining dolls, excluding the one in the wedding dress which was sent to me by US relatives as ‘American traditional dress’. Clearly, in the 1950s we had not got beyond the stereotype of the cowboys and Indians in TV shows so nowhere near the idea of an indigenous population that we displaced.

So this doll will be the last, a tiny Scot with bright white nylon hair.

I really thought I had taken photos of the early stages but apparently not.
