This is a village and when the village says it’s doing Halloween, it’s doing Halloween no matter the rain hammering down over it!

My contribution, meant to be a remote affair, was an A1 painting of a pumpkin with orange lights pushed through into the right places, a ghost comprising a scream mask and a shower curtain on an easel, and a longhandled feather duster witch, all assembled in the porch.

The pumpkin was AR-enabled using the Artivive platform and app and, instead of tooth-rotters, the treats were A6 prints of the pumpkin which I clipped to the flags in the trees out front. Ten would do.

In the event, the AR went down so well, I ran out of prints and had to print more; haring in and out to the printer and back as a parade of robots, dinosaurs, Tinkerbells, ghosts, a putative pirate, and at least one witch stitched its way up and down our front paths.
