Arriving at the end of a unit and not yet in the Assessment phase or in the grip of another course, I’ve been spending some time getting to know better the workings and capabilities of the various digital apps I use to, generally, enable augmented reality linking to either the original work or a specific target.
For this, I’ve taken my own paintings and photographs on which to apply filters which adjust the visual experience with background replacements (skies and water), movement, and the addition of stock elements and overlays.
Mostly I use MotionLeap by Lighttricks which, I’ve found, has quite a lot more to it than I’d been using. A big find (for me) was realising I could expand the target image on-screen which meant the brush size automatically reduced, enabling much finer application of masks and motion lines.
